How to set up a professional jewelry display
Jewelry is not an item a person typically needs,in order to encourage a person to buy your jewelry, you need to make them desire it.A good display for your jewelry goes a long way in creating that desire.A proper display sets a mood and displays jewelry in an appearling light.people get a perception of the jewelry's quality before they even touch it based on how it is presented and the care taken in its arrangement. With a little creativity, organization and patience, you can set up a beautiful professional jewelry display.
1.
Pick background colors and textures that compliment the materials and design of the pieces. If you are displaying white gold or platinum, you might not want to use a warm-colored background like yellow or brown.Use blue or another cool color instead.Colored stones might not be seen in all thier richness against a black background ;try white or another light color.Usde smoother textures with detailed and engraving pieces.
2.Use solid colors or very small or faint patterns for the background.A piece with a lot of detail in it might get overlooked if it is against a bust background. You want people to notice the jewelry, not the case.
3.
Use props and other materials that create a feel or mood that complements the jewelry. If you are displaying elegant, structural necklaces and bracelets in a window during winter, you could hang them from bare tree branches. Rugged men’s bracelets or women’s pieces using natural colors and textures might look good draped over rocks placed in the case.
4.
Place complementary pieces together. Group same-colored stones together or the same overall style together, such as vintage or modern. This keeps the display looking coherent and organized.
5.
Place pieces at different heights to create visual impact. Larger pieces should go toward the back of the case, with smaller pieces where they can be easily seen.
6.
Leave space in your display so you can move your hands around the case freely and access any piece without disturbing the others.
7.
Mix different price points of jewelry in each case. You might get a sale for a more expensive piece than the customer intended on buying because they saw it and fell in love.
8.
Keep adjoining cases in harmony with each other, especially if you are planning to be more creative with theme and color. Create a smooth visual transition from one case to the other by using a similar theme, color scheme or jewelry style in succession.
9.
Get outside opinions on your displays. What looks good to you might not look good to a customer, and customers are the ones who are buying your jewelry.
