China to build new gemstone trade centre
China is building four new trade centres, including one that caters to gemstones, the Shanghai Daily reported.
Zhang Miao, a publicity official of Beijing municipality, announced that construction of four new trade centres at the National Base for International Cultural Trade, China’s second international cultural trade base, is now underway.
Apart from gemstones, the other three centres will cater to the film and TV, design and art industries.
China officially opened the National Base for International Cultural Trade at the Beijing Capital Airport’s Tianzhu Free Trade Zone on August 25.
The new trade base houses cultural trade enterprises and institutions, exhibitions and logistics centres.
China’s first international cultural trade base is in Shanghai, and a third is planned for the southern city of Shenzhen.
