Pandora to build new facility in Thailand
Pandora will build a manufacturing facility in northern Thailand – its second in the country – to support the company’s expansion and reduce the risks associated with having one production site.
“The issue is we’re happy here. Thailand is a good production base,” Thomas Nyborg, company senior vice president, was quoted as saying. The Denmark-based jeweller has been operating a facility at the Gemopolis Industrial Estate in Bangkok since 2003.
Pandora manufactures around 80 million jewellery pieces a year and employs more than 7,000 employees in its Thailand facility.
