Bonhams recently announced that it will auction off the largest collection of luxury jewellery by Marina Bulgari in Hong Kong on November 26.

Bulgari is the granddaughter of Sottiro Bulgari, founder of the eponymous Italian brand.

The sale features the largest and most valuable collection of Marina B rings, necklaces and earrings ever to be sold at an auction, Bonhams said in a press release. The Marina B Legendary Luxury Jewelry Collection is comprised of nine lots that “reflect the designer’s iconoclastic approach to jewellery,” the auctioneer said.

“We are delighted to be offering this wonderful, sumptuous and rare collection of Marina B jewellery. Her designs are iconic because of their architectural boldness combined with the use of vivid coloured gemstones contrasting with white diamonds. Undoubtedly, Marina B was one of the pioneers of 1980s creativity and this is a rare opportunity to own one of the jewels she designed,” said Graeme Thompson, director of jewellery at Bonhams Asia.

Celebrity fans of Marina B jewellery include Jennifer Lopez, Amy Adams, Mila Kunis, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift and Faith Hill.
