This Necklace Jennifer Aniston Wore on Friends Is Making a Comeback

When I saw this picture about the Monica and Rachel, I was so excited about them, cause I am a fan of friends. I always focus on the humor parts about their actions and words. They are not only friendly but also looks gorgeous. And now comes up with another point is that the jewelry they wore.

When it comes to throwback jewelry trends, chokers are kind of hogging the mike right now. And while that attention is wholly deserved—every It Girl from Taylor Swift to Kendall Jenner is into them—that doesn't mean the thought of actually wearing one might not give you pause. Whether you work in a conservative office or tend to skew more elegant than sexy with your clothes, the choker is just not for everyone. And that’s OK. Especially because there’s another sexy necklace making a comeback right now, and it’s a whole lot easier to pull off IRL.

We’re talking about the delicate drop necklace; a softer, subtler take on the choker that emerged in the late ‘90s and was made famous by the It Girls of that era, like Jennifer Aniston while she was on Friends. Worn back then with scoop-neck dresses or ultra-romantic tops and boot-cut jeans, the necklace was provocative without being quite as aggressive as the choker. Today, as spaghetti-strap dresses and  off-the-shoulder tops have come back around, the romantic add-on feels fresh all over again–and it’s especially perfect for wedding season when, let’s be real, a velvet ribbon tied tight around your neck might not be the most appropriate move.
